Islands completed

I made these kitchen islands which can also be used as store counters. They are both the same size ..37"high x 28" deep x 75" long.   They are made from mostly pine and include an old pine cabinet on the lower right side.
     They're both for sale.

New Kitchen Islands - pick your own colour!

I thought I'd post these photo's of the two kitchen islands I'm making today.  Before I start to paint them tomorrow if anyone has a strong interest in them they could pick their own colours.   If not I'll be painting them white in next couple days and will post the finished islands then.

Old Table with Electric Insulators

I picked up this neat old kitchen table last Saturday.  It had a bad top so I cut it down and made a new top - now it's a sofa table.  The thing I like about this old table so much is that someone put old glass insulators on it instead of casters.
Below is a power line using the insulators...

Fireplace / TV Stand

I made this fireplace / T.V. stand for a customer.  He gave me the photo below of the unit he wanted - then I took it from there.
I do custom pieces all the time.  If any of you out there would like a custom piece shoot me a photo and I'll see what I can come up with!

Sewing, Yarn Basket, etc. from an old pine drawer

I made this sewing, yarn basket, etc. from an old pine drawer - I used the old "Brace 'n bit" for the handle.

Route 145 Bar - fun designing a theme!

Over the last past month I've been helping my best friend and nephew Dwayne Costain with the reno of his new bar, "Route 145", that opened last Friday at the Bloomfield Mall, Bloomfield Corner in Western Prince Edward Island.
It's over the top in design - you would know it's very different if I had a hand in it!  Dwayne's brain works something like mine - we had fun using old 1950's truck & car parts along with road signs I made to style-up the bar.  We we made a good time on this project.
Be sure to visit Dwayne's Bar - you can also find him on Facebook - look for "Route 145".  Here's some photos before from his Facebook page.
All the best Dwayne!

Yet another way to use these good old Prince Edward Island license plates - they have wood bottoms.
